Plunger gasket material

One of the problems in restoring plunger filling systems such as Sheaffer’s Vacuum-Fil and Wahl-Eversharp’s One-Shot, until now, has been the availability of high-quality plunger head gasket material. The solution: The high-grade, high-durometer synthetic rubber sheet we offer is ideal…

There’s this Marine Green VACUUM-FIL that I’ve had here entirely too long due to a basic error of stupidity, viz., the misplacing of the pen’s blind cap.  The blind cap found and the pen’s filler restored, the owner will soon be receiving a gorgeous writing instrument back into the fold.  That’s a good thing. I’ve always enjoyed hearing/reading someone else’s take on a topic that I’ve covered, and from time to time I’ll pick on someone for their opinions. This time, it was Patrick Rhone, a longtime friend, fellow blogger, and mentor of mine. Patrick was kind enough to share his thoughts on individual picks at each price point…
